Surface Preparation and Pretreatments: Apply 02-Y-40A Yellow Epoxy primer over clean, dry, intact aluminum and composite surfaces. Treat aluminum surfaces with materials conforming to MIL-C-5541 or equivalent.
Mix ratio (by volume): 02Y040A (base component) 3 parts : 02Y040ACAT (catalyst component) 1 part
Instructions for Use: Stir or shake the base component (Part A) for no more than 10 minutes. Add the catalyst component to the base component. Mix by hand stirring, paint shaker or mechanical mixing. Do not shake or mix for longer than 10 minutes. Constant agitation during spray application is recommended.
Note: It is important to condition the paint for 24 hours prior to mixing by placing all materials in the shop or hangar, with ambient temperatures between 13° and 35°C (55° to 95°F). The minimum temperature of the paint components should be 13°C (55°F) prior to mixing.
Safety Precautions: Comply with all local safety, disposal and transportation regulations. Check the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) and label of the individual products carefully before using the products. SDS’s are available on request.
