44-GN-54 Water Reducible Primer is suitable for application on aircraft and aerospace equipment.
This is a two-component, chemically cured, fast dry, high solids, epoxy-polyamide primer. 44-GN-54 provides a corrosion inhibiting, chemical and solvent resistant film suitable for topcoat, when applied over properly prepared substrates. The cured primer is resistant to immersion in water, jet fuels, lubricating oils and hydraulic fluids.
Instructions for Use:
Mix ratio (by volume): 2:1:4.5
44GN054 (base component) 2 parts
44GN054CAT (catalyst component) 1 part
Reducer (Distilled or Deionized water) 4 ½ parts water by volume (approximately 150%)
Component A contains the pigment and polyamide resin. Component B is a clear, non-pigmented epoxy and acts as a hardener or curing agent for Component A.
Shelf Life: 1 year from DOM when stored between 35° to 115°F in original, unopened containers away from direct sunlight.
APPLICATION RECOMMENDATIONS: May be applied by Conventional, Airless, Air Assisted Airless, HVLP or Electrostatic spray equipment**.
